January 2014 Ipsy Bag

Long time no blog, I know. Work and school have been a little crazy, and I lost my camera for a few days. Enough excuses lets get the the post. I received my Ipsy bag a few days ago and I they've done it again, a nice bag with fun products to try out. For the first time in a long time, I didn't receive any full sized products. They don't promise a full size item in the bag, but there is usually one included.

This first product I'm actually excited to try. I usually hate foil samples, BUT I don't mind them when they give you a couple. That way you actually get to try the product more than once.

This product might not be enough for all my hair, but I'll make it work.

At first I was most excited about this product, the color was pretty, it had a nice velvet texture. Then after trying it on and taking a picture of the product on my lips; when I took it off I noticed a few bumps of the edge of mu top lip, near my cupids bow. I freaked out, I might be allergic to the product. I'm not willing to try it again to find out. Luckily the bumps were gone by morning.

My lips looked fine when I put it on.

This product is actually really pretty and is in my purse now.  Beautiful tear duct/ inner corner color.

I tried to take a picture of the liner, but my camera wasn't cooperating with me.

Sorry its been so long since my last post. I will do better on bringing you all more posts. :)

Tiny CVS Haul - LE Color Tattoos and Instant Age Rewind Concealer

Yesterday, during lunch a drove down to the CVS next to my job. The plan was to only run in to get Advil ... well along with that Advil I picked out just a few things.

Maybelline was having a sale, spend $15 get $5 CVS bucks. I picked up a concealer and 2 of the limited edition Color Tattoos.

I picked up the Brightening shade, its a pinky color.

With no concealer ^

With concealer only on left eye in picture. Overall I was impressed with the way it actually did brighten my under eyes.

Chanel tray and brush holder by TraysChic

I don't know about you all, but I have an instagram addiction. One of my favorite tags to look at is the Chanel tag. I came across a beautiful Chanel tray by the user @oohlalafinds. She makes beautiful decor. She makes trays, trinket boxes, brush holders.
She also has a website Trayschic.com

After months of drooling over all her beautiful pictures, I finally placed an order. My original order was for the small trinket tray and a small canvas, both with the Chanel logo in black and white. Then after seeing a new product she added ( a brush holder) I emailed her and added that to my order as well.
I was super exited when I saw her post a picture of my order on her instagram.

My order arrived on Christmas eve, I consider it a gift to myself. My items were beautiful and I'm very happy with the quality of everything I ordered.

She even added a cute little gift to my order. A baby gold canvas.

Seriously love these pieces and I'm so glad I finally ordered them. They add a cute touch to my dresser and vanity.

Also if you'd like to see a "what i got for Christmas" post let me know.

New Years Inspiration -Topic 1 #2014BloggerChallenge

Welcome to 2014! This is my first post of the year and my first post for the 2014 Blogger Challenge.

The Challenge for this post is to share a photo or quote that inspires you for 2014. A few weeks back I posted this quote to my instagram. I feel like this perfectly sums up the mentality I want to have in 2014. There were too many days in 2013 that I let laziness and procrastination get the best of me. I want to be more organized and focused this year.
So this year I want to make an effort to be productive and get ish done. With school, this blog, and with my job, its time to get productive.

Another thing this quote inspires me to do is to put more time into myself. When I wake up I usually put getting 10 more minutes of sleep over having that 10 minutes to get some makeup on my face or to make breakfast. Although I love makeup, I don't wear it on an everyday basis. I want to make more effort into dressing up and getting a little more put together for my everyday life.

So hopefully some of you guys can get inspired by this quote to make moves in 2014, and not let a bad mood or laziness keep you from getting stuff done.
