Chanel JARDIN DE CAMÉLIAS Collection: Jardin Zen and 87 Sakura

I don't know about you, but my makeup buying habits are like this, if it says exclusive or limited edition, I'm MUST have it. Especially if its from Chanel.
This is the second spring collection put out by Chanel. Its called Jardin De Camelias, and it was exclusively available in Asia and on chanel.com.
I only picked up two items from this collection and I must say they are gorgeous. I picked up the quad called Jardin Zen ($65) and the blush in 87 Sakura.

This quad is gorgeous, each pan is embossed to mimic a zen garden.

Perfect colors for a soft spring look, this quad as a lavender color, a champagne, a soft pink and a soft black. These colors can be used dry for a soft look or wet for something more pigmented.

This blush is such a nice natural flush of color type of pink. The powder is smooth in texture, and blends in beautifully. I would say this is a great color for light to medium skin tones, for a fresh look.

In all I'm really please with this collection. The quality is great, and with the quad and illuminating powder (which I didn't pick up) the packaging was simply gorgeous. I would recommend checking out chanel.com and browsing this collection. The collection is limited edition and will not be available for long. The sakura blush has already sold out.
If you so check out this collection please be sure to leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

March 2014 Ipsy Bag

Another month another Ipsy bag. This month was a good one, I got a few things I'm really excited to try. I wasn't fond of the bag design, but I like the concept.

Here is a better view of the bag, the print itself, I don't like. I do like the idea that they are featuring new artists to design the bag.

This liner, OH EM GEE, this felt tip is so fine you can get the thinnest line. I have a few liners like this but none with such a fine tip. I'll try out the blue shade and see how the formula is, if I like it, I would really be interested in getting the black one.

This isn't the first time be a Bombshell cosmetics has been featured in an Ipsy bag, but its the first eyeshadow from them I've seen. The formula is really nice they seem really smooth and blendable. I really like the pigmentation on these shadows. I'm sure that pop of blue will look really nice under the lash line during the summertime with a bronze lid.

I seriously love minis, this lipstick is very cute. The color is Get Ready. Its a very nice every day type of color. The coupon attached gives free shipping and a free sample with your order. I think that was a nice touch to the little sample.

These are what I'm most exited to try! I see face masks and these type on under eye masks are a really big hit in Asia and I'm so glad that the idea is making its way here. I can't wait to try these out. Two patches come in each pouch so I'm glad they gave us enough to try them out twice.

I would call this a good month, even though this month we only get 4 products rather than 5 I'm still happy with everything in my bag. Ipsy still knows how to do it.

Rainbow Tag: Collab with Stephanie from The Best in Beauty

I'm back with a collab post, I've joined forced with Stephanie from The Best in Beauty. If you follow me on instagram you would know we've been preparing for the rainbow tag. I've been posting my picks for each color leading up to this blog post.

Red
I love a red lip, the Revlon Matte Balm is amazing, if you want an affordable option go for this one. For a not so affordable option the Chanel Rouge Allure in #99 Pirate is great is an amazing blue red that looks great on all skin tones and it makes your teeth look white. For an option right in between the Stila stay all day liquid lipstick in the color Beso is a beautiful matte liquid lipstick that actually does last all day, I love this stuff.

Orange
I'm not much for orange but I do have a new things in my collection. Both these shadows are mac and were limited collection the first was from the Hayley Williams collection and the other from the Surf Baby collection, the lipstick is a really pretty matte orange color also from the Hayley Williams collection called Sounds Like Noise.

Yellow
Yellow was kind of a hard one for me to find things in my collection. I have the Phillip Lim for Target  bag and the Chanel polish in Mimosa, both were limited edition items.

Green
This Gosh quad, I received in my UK/US swap from my previous post, the colors are very pretty shimmery shades of green. Next is my Disney for Sephora collection for the Ariel. The Simple face wipes are by far my favorite ones, these I have small for eyes but the larger face ones are great too. What I love about them over other makeup remover wipes is that they don't sting my eyes.

 Blue
First blue things I have is the Very Berry candle from Target, these candle are so nice and half the price of the Bath and Body Works ones. On the Bath and Body Works subject I am still loving this scent from the holiday line if you can get your hands on it you will LOVE it. Only one beauty product, the MUFE Sens'eyes makeup remover gets that waterproof liner and mascara off really nicely without irritating your eyes. Ladies, the man in your life needs to smell of Chanel, Bleu De Chanel is my favorite men's fragrance. If anyone is wondering the earrings are Givenchy and I got them form Macy's.

Violet
I have two favorite plum color blushes, the first is Milani and the second is Plum Attraction from Chanel. Also from Chanel I have the Rouge Allure Velvet in #45 L'Adoree this color is from the Spring 2014 collection. I also have a YSL lipstick but the number as rubbed off.

Pink
The color of colors :) First is a fragrance I received for my birthday Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, this scent is so nice for spring. Again I have two blushes I love right now, Chanel blush in Emotion and the fancy pants new big boss blush in my collection, Tom Ford in Narcissist. I will have posts on both of these blushes coming up soon. For the lips I have MACs Candy yum yum and Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in #40 La Sensuelle. The Chanel gloss in #168 was my first Chanel purchase so I'll always love it.

Silver
I had to add a couple bonus colors. A few of my favorite silver pieces, the silver bunny is a ring holder that I found at Bed Bath and Beyond. Of course my MK watch and a few jewelry pieces. I have two silver eye products, and eyeliner form starlooks and a creme shadow my Rimmel.

Black
Another bonus color. Some of my favorite brands come in gorgeous black packaging. I'm a sucker for packaging. Chanel of course, MAC, Nars and Givency.

Thank you for sticking with me through this super long post. Don't forget to head over to Stephanie's blog and cheek out her rainbow favorites.

UK/US Swap with Mountain Beauty

The one thing I've enjoyed the most about blogging is the online beauty community. It's so fun connecting with so many other girls obsessed with makeup like I am. Another cool thing about that is that a lot of these new friends are from all over the world.

I had the privilege to do a beauty swap with Katrina from Mountain Beauty, you can also follow her in twitter HERE and you can also read her post about out swap HERE.

It was really fun pick out new products that might not be available in the UK. And it was fun receiving so many cool products that I can't get here in the US.

Here are a few pictures of some of my favorite things.

These weren't all the things I received, just some of my favorite. Be sure to stay tuned for review/swatch posts on these and some of the other products I received.
Thanks again to Katrina for doing this swap with me, I really enjoyed picking out products to send you.
Don't forget to go check out her post here.

2014 Blogger Challenge: Books

Here is my next post for the 2014 Blogger Challenge, all about books.

The first book I recommend is the Beauty book from Lauren Conrad. This book is really good for all makeup lovers. Full of tips and tricks and lots of really good information. Learn about skincare, makeup application, and even hair tutorial.

Another set of books I would recommend to any Chanel lover like me is this set of 3 books. I found mine on Amazon by simply searching "Chanel 3 book set" Each book is about a different aspect of Chanel culture. One book is about the N5 perfume about how the scent became so iconic and even the evolution of the bottle. The second book is about the jewelry, about how Coco Chanel drew inspiration from her life to create these jewels. The last book is about her and the brand itself. Each book is fulled with pictures and past advertisements seen all over the world. The pictures are beautiful.
