UK/US Swap Product Swatches pt. 2

Here is part to with picture of products I received in a UK/US Swap I did with Katrina from Mountain Beauty.  This time I bring you Soap & Glory, Sleek, Catrice and Top Shop.

I was really excited to test out Sleek products, I've heard so many good things about this brand. They did not disappoint, they are so pigmented! I receive a mix of both simmer and matte shadows. These things are awesome. I would highly recommend trying out they Sleek shadows.

Soap & Glory is a brand that we have here in the states at Sephora, but when I think of the brand I only think of body scrubs and hand food lotion. I'm not sure how many people know about their beauty products. Sephora only carries the lip glosses and one mascara from the beauty line. The shadows are nice and buttery, and these colors could be used for a simple spring look. The shimmer on the lid and brown in the crease and a pop of color to make it stand out.

Back to Sleek. I've seen trios like this from elf, trying to mimic the NARS laguna and orgasm, BUT I don't think any of the elf contour, highlight, blush trios can compare to this one. That blush is insane. It changed colors depending how the light hits it, I tried to show that in the swatch.
I wouldn't get this for the bronzer or highlight, they seemed underwhelming to me, but for the blush alone its worth it.

P2 seems to be a German brand. These blushes are very creamy and nice, but too sheer for my complexion. These would just look like Vaseline on my cheeks. On a lighter skin tone they might look a lot better.

Now, these shadows are SICK! I mean I swatched these dry with no primer and they look so nice. The metallic shine these have is so cool. I seriously have to figure out a way to use these colors. The neutral colors would be great for a one color shadow look, they have so much dimension.
If you ever are in Germany please try to pick some of these up.

Tom Ford 08 Flamingo & 07 Paradiso

I got some more Tom Ford goodies to share. Back in February was my birthday, I like to celebrate the whole month and spoil myself. I made the decision to spurge on two Tom For lippies. At $50 each these are definitely a spurge item.

I decided to get one from the spring collection and one from the permanent collection. The spring collection came in special white packaging. The spring lippies were lip sheers rather than their regular formula. The regular collection comes in the classic gold and brown packaging.

This is the most luxurious packaging in my collection.

First from the spring 2014 collection I picked up Paradiso.  This is meant to be a lip color sheer but this color in particular has a nice amount of pigmentation. Also it has no shimmer, most of the other colors in this collection has shimmers. The shape of the bullet is also different than the ones from the permanent collection, maybe this shape is for the lip sheers. It has a flat top with squared edged.

The second one I got was Flamingo from the permanent line. This formula is the regular lip color formula. It's creamy and opaque, it goes on the lips very smoothly. This color is perfection for spring and summer. The bullet has a rounded off shape just like the other permanent lipsticks.

These lippies are so beautiful I have to use the back side or the bullet so that I don't mess up the beautiful TF embossing.
I'm so glad picked these up. Not sure when or if I'll be picking up anymore but, these are highly recommended.

UK/US Swap Product Swatches pt.1

I few posts ago I shared a few pictures of products I received in a UK/US Swap I did with Katrina from Mountain Beauty. Here is my first post featuring a few of those products with swatches.

First off the Rimmel London Apocalips lip lacquers. Can I just say WOW, these are so pigmented and smooth. These are now available in the US, but are called Rimmel Show Off .This formula can't be matched, and these colors are perfect for me. I would have picked the same ones if I had bought them myself.

Next the Rimmel London Scandaleyes. These are just gorgeous, again perfect color selection for me. rose gold color is my obsession. They are very creamy and set nicely. I've worn them under the lash line with no issues. I'm not sure if these are in the US yet, but its worth checking out your local drugstore.

These lipsticks are from the brand Astor, this brand is not available at all in the states. This is a grand sold in Germany. This are from the Hidi Klum collection, I was pleasantly surprised with these lipsticks. The formula was great, very moisturizing and pigmented. Very much like L'Oreal lipsticks.

I also received some pressed pigments from the same brand Astor and a lose pigment from the UK brand BarryM. These Astor shadows are similar to the L'Oreal Infallible eye shadows, they have the plastic stopper under the cap. They are also nicely pigmented. The BarryM pigment was quite nice as well, I can see myself using it as an everyday all over the lid color.

Lastly are these chubby stick style lip balms from the brands Catrice Cosmetics, Soap and Glory, and MUA Makeup Academy. These all were vary nice and moisturizing but very sheer. These are similar to the Revlon just kissable lip balms, but are more sheer. Not sticky, they are more of a gloss. The one with the most color pay off was the MUA one in the color Crazy In Love.

Stay tuned for more swatches from the other products I received.
