January 2014 Ipsy Bag

Long time no blog, I know. Work and school have been a little crazy, and I lost my camera for a few days. Enough excuses lets get the the post. I received my Ipsy bag a few days ago and I they've done it again, a nice bag with fun products to try out. For the first time in a long time, I didn't receive any full sized products. They don't promise a full size item in the bag, but there is usually one included.

This first product I'm actually excited to try. I usually hate foil samples, BUT I don't mind them when they give you a couple. That way you actually get to try the product more than once.

This product might not be enough for all my hair, but I'll make it work.

At first I was most excited about this product, the color was pretty, it had a nice velvet texture. Then after trying it on and taking a picture of the product on my lips; when I took it off I noticed a few bumps of the edge of mu top lip, near my cupids bow. I freaked out, I might be allergic to the product. I'm not willing to try it again to find out. Luckily the bumps were gone by morning.

My lips looked fine when I put it on.

This product is actually really pretty and is in my purse now.  Beautiful tear duct/ inner corner color.

I tried to take a picture of the liner, but my camera wasn't cooperating with me.

Sorry its been so long since my last post. I will do better on bringing you all more posts. :)

Ipsy GlamBag - July 2013

Seriously a really pretty, juicy watermelon color I think is great for the summer. To me, defiantly too much pink to be called coral.

Annoyingly couldn't rotate this picture. I've tried sea salt sprays before and they seem to always dry out my hair. Hopefully since this one claims to be good for your hair because it has soy in it, I'll give it a go.

This is good stuff. I tried it out without water. It was a bit harsh but I like that. I like feeling like all the dead skin is being taken off my face.

Once again, Ipsy for the win. All great products for the summer. Even the bag is a nice waterproof, perfect for the beach or pool clear pink bag. Can't wait to try out the Coola tinted sunscreen, hopefully the color works well on me. I have a non tinted sample that I received from Birchbox that works really nicely.

Out of all the beauty subscriptions I've tried I would 100% recommend IPSY. If you would like to check them out or subscribe you can CLICK HERE to use my referral link, or go to ipsy.com

Ipsy GlamBag - June 2013

Another month another GlamBag, and another month that Ipsy delivers a great bag. This months bag was adorable. The theme was "On the Wild Side" the bag was perfect for it.

I love the spray on dry shampoo, and I know this brand has been along for ages. I can't wait to try this one.

This lip liner is beautiful. I have it next to the swatch from the lip crayon I received in my June Birchbox, the color matches perfectly.

I've never tried purple eyeliner before, I'm sure it will complement my brown eyes really well. The built in brush is a nice touch.

The glitter is the only thing I was disappointed in. Its hard to get the glitter to show up as nice as in the pan. I need to try working with this a but more, I think I will have better luck with a flat synthetic bristle brush to pack it on.

All in all another great month from Ipsy.

March 2013 Ipsy glambag

March is off to a good start, I received my Ipsy bag this weekend. Usually, my Birchbox and Ipsy bags don't come until around the 18th, but I was pleased to see two pink envelopes in the mailbox on Saturday.

January 2013 Ipsy Glambag

Once again my Ipsy glambag doesn't disappoint. No makeup this month but still some great beauty products in generous sizes. Another happy month with Ipsy. Michelle Phan knows what she's doing.

This stuff smells AMAZING. Its going right in my bag.
I only really use hairspray when I curl my hair but I've heard nothing but good things about this brand.
This is the second SOHO brush I've received from Ipsy and I think they make great brushes.  I use the crease brush i received from them all the time.  These brushes are also available at Wal-Mart and CVS.
I LOVE THIS STUFF. I first tried it when I received it in a Sephora beauty insider 500 point set. Its awesome for your hair and can even be used as a moisturizer. A little goes a long way.
This is a very sheer creamy color. I had to put 4 coats to get a color I was OK with. With so many coats it took forever to dry, I had a few dents and chips before it was completely dry. I would suggest using as just a base color for a glitter polish.

I'm happy with everything in my glam bag this month and I can't wait to see what February (my birthday month) has for me.

January 2013 Birchbox

It's that time again, when the second week of the month comes around I keep my eye on the mailbox for my Birchbox and Ipsy glam bag. Its the 20th and I have both ready to share. Birchbox is a crap shoot because most everyone gets something different, and with Ipsy we all get the same thing.

Once again, I'm not to impressed with my Birchbox this month.

happy to see that this wasn't a foil sample like the matching conditioner i received a few months back
This claims to have something in it that makes you eat less after you smell it.. I don't think so.

The only product that I'm actually excited to try, I love theBalm
the most disappointing think to see for me in a monthly beauty subscription package ... FOIL Packets!!

Like I said, nothing to great. I've decided after a couple crappy months that I'm going to cancel my Birchbox sub. Once my one year is up, I'm going to use all my points and cancel.

November Birchbox.

Earlier this year I discovered the beauty of monthly subscription services. I have a few choices at the time, Julip, Army Box, Pop Sugar, New Beauty Test Tube, Myglam, and Birchbox. All the different programs were at different price points and had mixed reviews. I decided to go with the ones that were good for my budget. For $10 each I chose Myglam and Birchbox. I've had mixed feeling about Birchbox, Out of the average 5 beauty/skin/hair/food products a month I was getting at least 1 great product in each box . I've also had months that I've hated everything in my box. Myglam has been a different story, but I'll talk more about that when I post my November bag. This month was a mixed month for me.

I received 5 products in my box, which after doing review on the Birchbox website, equates to 50 points. Each 100 points earned is $10 available to use in the online shop. This feature is was added to me choosing to join. Each box comes with a card giving information about each product.

My first product was the Lulu Organics Lavender + Clay Sage Hair Powder. Basically a dry shampoo

It's about a good size for one use on someone with short to medium hair, not sure if ill use it, i like the spray on dry shampoo better.

I also received a full size mascara. Sometime you will get lucky and get full size products, Ive received full size lip gloss and eyeliner in past boxes.

I've only seen this brand before once at TJ Maxx. Not sure how the Fiber concept will work on my lashes but I'll update the post with before/after pictures when I try it out.

Probably the product I'm most exited about is this Mox Botanicals Lip Butter, I love anything that will keep my lips soft in the cold weather seasons. Its an OK size for a sample but its will last me a while.

The last two products were fragrances. One was a Body Serum, and the other and men's cologne. I'm not sure what i think of these they will just end up in my sample drawer never to be seen again.

I will say I think this serum is a good size, since they say a little goes a long way.
Pretty much this was an OK month, I've received better and I've received waay worse.
